Dried leaves and flower buds are used as this spice. It has a taste similar to marjoram, but milder. Oregano serves as a seasoning for vegetables (tomatoes, peas, beans, and lettuce), cheese, fish, poultry, and seafood. It blends perfectly with basil, rosemary, and thyme. It belongs to main spices of Italian, Spanish and Mexican cuisine. Oregano is a main spice used in pizza and spaghetti.
