White pepper

This spice is prepared from peppercorns of pepper plant, a climbing vine growing in the Coast of India (Malabar), Vietnam, Sumatra, Java, and the Philippines. Pepper is one of the most popular spices in the world. We have white, black, pink and green pepper. All peppercorns are fruits of the same plant. White pepper is obtained from ripe peppercorns, from which the outer, fleshy covering is removed. The final color of peppercorns is yellow-grey. The taste and fragrance of white pepper is milder than that of black pepper. Peppercorns are used in soups, broths and marinades. Ground pepper is more widely used. It is added to soups, broths, sauces, lunchmeat, meats, and flavored cheese such as spreadable cheese, salads, vegetables, and eggs.
