Ground, dried pods of chili pepper are used as a seasoning for food.
Chili is added to beans, lentils, poultry dishes, goulash, and stew. One has to remember that chili cannot be sprinkled on hot oil, since it caramelizes easily and adds a bitter taste to meal.
In addition, after using chili we have to wash hands, since touching eyes or nose by hand on which there is a small amount of this spice can cause tearing or irritation (and even choking when the spice will get directly to the throat).
