| Dice meat, bacon and sausage and fry. Cut fresh cabbage, bring to the boil a small amount of water, and add sauerkraut to it and the ingredients you have fried in advance. Boil everything on a low heat for about 2 hours, mixing it now and then and adding hot water, if needed (to prevent burning). Then add tomato paste, Cykoria seasoning for bigos and salt to taste. Mix thoroughly and cook on a low heat for about 1 - 1.5 hours mixing from time to time. The dish can be served with bread or potato puree. |
