Toasted cod with bacon
Dishes on every occasion/ Christmas 12/12


Ingredients: Preparation:
4 cod fillets (200 g each),
onion,
50 g of Mushrooms (or Cykoria Dried Mushrooms),
a bunch of parsley (or Cykoria Dried Parsley),
2 spoonfuls of butter,
2 pinches of Cykoria Ground Black Pepper,
1/2 spoonful of salt,
2 spoonfuls of potato flour,
Cykoria Bay Leaf,
Cykoria Seasoning for Fish,
1/2 liter of milk,
4 thin rashers of bacon, 3 spoonfuls of crumbs.
Peel and cut the onion into small pieces. Clean and slice mushrooms. Chop the cleaned parsley. Fry the onion and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Put into the ovenproof dish. Clean fillets in cold water dry them and put them on mushrooms. Sprinkle with parsley. Add some salt, Ground Black Pepper, Seasoning for fish, add a Bay Leaf. Boil milk. Mix potato flour with 3 spoonfuls of water and pour into boiling milk. Mix until thick sauce appears. Pour the sauce over the fish, cover and toast them for 10 minutes in the oven heated up to 175 °C. Fry some bacon. Sprinkle the fish with bread-crumbs, put some bacon slices and toast everything for another 10 minutes.
