For the second time "Rzeczypospolita" has awarded distinctions to 20 enterprises regarded as the fastest-growing and the most effective in Poland. Minister Of Economy Jerzy Hausner has handed statuettes Dobra Firma 2003.
- There is no other way but to boost and promote investments – to fight poverty and much unemployment and to create new workplaces and an increase in income – said at a yesterday's meeting Vice-Premier Jerzy Hausner, explaining why small enterprises should be in the limelight of the government's policy.
Representatives of 20 companies, whose revenues have proved the best, have received statuettes Dobra Firma 2003 from Vice-premier. In alphabetical order the companies include: Avon Cosmetics from Warsaw, Barlinek S.A., Ball Pack Europe from Radomsko, Bella from Toruń, Black Red White from Biłgoraj, Ceresit from Kielce, Fabryka Farb i Lakierów Snieżka from Lubzina, Faurecia Fotele Samochodowe from Grójec, Inter Groclin Auto from Wolsztyn, LPP from Gdańsk, Novol from Komornik, Polpharma from Starogard Gdański, PPH DGS from Włocławek, PUP SPIN from Katowice, Sokpol from Myszków, Talex from Poznań, Wabco from Wrocław, Wall from Cracow, Zakłady Przetwórstwa Cykoria S.A. from Wierzchosławice and Żywiec Zdrój from Węgierska Górka.

Last year export in Cykoria S.A. considerably exceeded 40 percent of
sales revenues and was almost 10 percent bigger than that of in 2002. The Company
was well-established on the Eastern market. Foreign companies have associated
Cykoria S.A. with good quality of dried chicory that proves valuable for producing
coffee.

The company from Wierzchosławice is also regarded
as the biggest domestic producer of dried vegetables
purchased by Podravka and contracting parties
from Germany, Holland and Croatia, and lately by the USA – the
United States are a very promising market – according
to President of the company Henryk
Dorawa.
This year Cykoria will send to Russia about 5 percent of
desserts and seasonings more that the year earlier.
In terms of supply value and quantity
the company has already exceeded the status before the Russian
crisis. The strong position on the Eastern market results
from good cooperation with local
wholesalers and good merchandising. President Dorawa assesses
that this year export is expected to bring 40 percent
of sales revenues, estimated at 126
million zloty in comparison to 120 million zloty achieved in
2002 with a net profit of 8 million zloty and 7 million
zloty respectively.
Cykoria does not ignore its domestic market where it is ranked
as being five in terms of sales of seasonings and desserts.
In spite of the market
being stable, the company from Wierzchosławice enjoys an increase
in sales estimated annually at 4 percent and 2 percent
on average. Cykoria had been
an employees' enterprise by 1994. It was privitized by an employees'
company. Today the capital of Cykoria equals 1,8 million
zloty, and its stockholding
includes employees (80,41 proc.) and physical persons (19,59
proc.). For the property obtained from the state 1,5
million zloty is to be paid.
